Some times it easy to get caught up in every thing that is going on around you and to forget to listen to that voice inside - especially when your own experiences are beginning to mimic the fear and worry of others. I often speak about the topic of goals at Marcia's Money Wise Women Conferences, but those who listen discover that it's more than just how to create and act on a goal. It's really about being clear on what you most want and value so that you can get clear on your dream.
Inspiration is what helps you keep the momentum and focus on your dream...the end result you are really wanting. The best way I've found to stay inspired is to simply allow myself time to notice what's around me, what's showing up.
Truth be told I am human and sometimes I get my panty's all tied up in a knot and develop both attachment to how "it needs to be" or how I think "others would like it better" I get distracted from the dream and the inspiration that got me going in the first place and I actually lose my creative and heart centered edge.
A simple tool I like to use is from TUT or Totally Unique Thoughts . It's their Notes from the Universe: Daily Reminders of Life's Magic and Your Divinity. It's simple and it's free. You sign up and every day you receive a message from the Universe. I have to admit that I don't read these every day or even feel compelled to catch up when they pile up, but when I'm open and ready I read the message and each time feel amazed that it's the perfect message at the perfect time.
This is what I read this morning:
Michele, it's within you: the answers you seek, the direction you want, and the power to be whoever you want to be. Your dreams are not yours by mere whim. They've been meticulously matched to the gifts you're now developing. Designed to lure you within, where your true power lies, and then out into the world, beyond imagined limitations and fears. Trust yourself. Listen to your heart. You have the right stuff, you know what to do, and it can all be yours.
Hosanna in the highest,
The Universe
How does this particular message from the universe fit? Well I noticed that I've been spending so much time helping clients get clear, focused and inspired that I've forgotten about me - yep the cobbler with no shoes syndrome.
So in the past few days I 've been asking and journaling the answers to some of those same questions such as:
- What do you truly want?
- What is the deep desire you long for - the one you hesitate to admit because you don't htink you can have it?
- What do you perceive about your life that you'd like to change?
- Are there any destructive habits you would like to break?
- Where would you find more fulfillment in your career?
- What do you like about your life?
- What do you dislike about your life?
- How are you creating abundance of value?
- What can you honestly expect will happen if your current (financial, or business, or what ever situation) situation / pattern continue?
- Do you accept the complete truth of your situation?
What stands out is to trust myself and to listen to my heart and know that what I create is perfect and in the perfect time and to stop worrying that it's not fast enough or complete. What about you?
After helping set up blogs (like this one for Money Wise Women) and now the Get Smart Educational Series, I've started a new side venture to help channel both my love and learning of DIY (do it yourself) / how to do it - in the tech area because I keep running into clients and acquantences that some times don't even know what questions to ask when it comes to technology or they are feeling frustrated that they can't make a simply change on their own website.
Hence Your Shortest Path was born. I know that it's not about being every thing to every one, rather to provide support to women that want to be able to start and or maintain their own blog or site, or want to be able to reach out and do some email marketing without spending a lot of money. It's purpose is to create and provide value and to trust that the right people will find Your Shortest Path and tell others. So check back every once in a while and see what new tools and resources have been added.
I hope you enjoy the inspirational quotes and notes from TUT and find the courage to answer the questions above and be honest with yourself...what is it you really want?
Regards,
Michele Corey

Love the quotes
I really love these kind of things!
I was just at this site where they had all these motivational and inspirational refrigerator magnets and I got a bunch of them. They were really cool with funny original sayings like "obsession is not a hobby" (i got THAT one for sure hahaha) :)
...and things about love and friendship too.
I gave a lot of them to my friends and co-workers for christmas, they loved them:)
