Jayne
Black, is the Founder of Saving Smart for Five Generations www.jayneblack.com which was created in
an attempt to change the facts concerning women and financial security for
the five living generations of women who could be affected by financial stress
and poverty. It serves these women and the generations to come by providing
resources and tools to help break the negative financial cycle to become
financially fit in their lifetime. Jayne is
a 2012 graduate from the Wisconsin Women’s Network Policy Institute in Madison
and is currently working on public policies to strengthen the financial security
of elderly women in Wisconsin. Jayne is an international blogger and writer for
several online magazines and organizations. Jayne writes on a
range of subjects including women, finances, Financial Stress, Heart Disease and
retirement security. Jayne is an accomplished speaker and
published author, Jayne has been a guest on TV and radio talk shows and
tele-seminars.
Jayne is on the financial education committee team for The Wisconsin Women’s Council her role is to help create an all-inclusive online financial education program for women her teams focus is on retirement education. Jayne is a founding board member of the iOMe Challenge www.iomechallenge.com a national financial literacy contest for college students. Before this Jayne served as a Legislative/Organization and Association Specialist for PAi – Plan Administrators, Inc. where she worked on the issues of retirement security. Her role was to enlist the support of representatives locally and in Washington to make working on the issue of retirement security a priority.
Jayne was selected as Mrs. Wisconsin International 2013 and is proud to promote her platform "Financial Fitness for the Heart' reducing women's heart disease through stress relief and financial education. Jayne is also a volunteer for Junior Achievement,The American Heart Association and Go Red where she helps to educate women about the importance of dealing with financial stress and stress management tools. 79% of women have daily financial stress and stress contributes to heart disease which is the number one cause of death in women.
Jayne is an Ambassador for Global View Capital Advisors International – “Women’s Initiative.” Jayne's desire to assure everyone has the opportunity of a wake-up call regarding their financial future stemmed from her own experience watching her mother’s quality of life change dramatically upon retirement due to poor financial education skills and inadequate savings. Jayne believes that the high level of financial stress her mother endured during her last years contributed to the heart disease her mother passed away from.
